Library
The library is a reference library whose holdings focus primarily on political persecution, the judiciary and imprisonment in German 20th century history. In addition to survey monographs, it includes specialised publications on the history of National Socialism, the Soviet zone of occupation and the German Democratic Republic as well as memoirs of political prisoners. The library subscribes to selected scholarly historical journals and newsletters of victims' associations and organisations dedicated to the historical appraisal of these events. The library's historical periodicals include a nearly complete collection of German official gazettes since 1871 and extensive collections of other periodicals, such as Neues Deutschland, Neue Justiz, Die Volkspolizei and Forum der Kriminalistik.
The library is open on workdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
