Clarifying fates, research and documentation
The Memorial Site collects and preserves documents, objects, and audiovisual media relating to the history of the Großschweidnitz State Institution. It makes these available for research purposes and advises academic institutions, students, school pupils, and teachers
The Großschweidnitz Memorial Site is constantly striving to shed light on the fates of victims. Relatives receive information and further points of reference.
Researching the Nazi murder of patients, its background and aftermath, and communicating new findings are also among the tasks of the Memorial Site. It has a small specialist library and an archive. The collection includes the papers bequeathed by the former director of the Katharinenhof Großhennersdorf, Dr. Jürgen Trogisch, personal documents from relatives of murdered people, and interviews.
