Legal basis
The legal basis for the work of the Foundation is the Act Establishing the Saxon Memorial Foundation (Saxon Memorial Act) adopted by the Saxon state legislature on 28 February 2003.
The sponsorship principles enacted by the Saxon Memorial Foundation Board on 27 August 2003 form the basis for the sponsorship of memorials, archives and independently supported initiatives.
The terms of use for archival holdings of 14 August 2006 regulate the use of the collections of the Foundation and its memorials.
